Sample Work and Projects

As new users may appreciate seeing sample data results before processing any of their own, PEAKS provides this resource to satisfy that request. To download the sample database or a project, simply click the title to start downloading. Please note that for your convenience and in the interest of faster downloading, these projects are in a standard compressed format (ZIP). Once the download is complete, decompress the file and extract all contents. Further, many of these projects can be found within the Data folder (C:\PeaksStudio5.3\Data) accessible to those who have already installed PEAKS.

Sample of Exported (HTML) Results

Public Data Results in Exported Format
  • This document contains the results obtained by PEAKS during the ABRF iPRG 2011 study. The results are presented in the same exported manner that they are from the software. This makes sharing results with colleagues very easy. In addition to this format, many others are available, including the original PEAKS project format viewable to those with PEAKS Client (free).

Sample Database

    Sample Fasta Database
  • This is a very small subset of the NCBI database, convenient enough for testing the sample set of data provided below; however, for full scale experiments utilizing database searching (PEAKS Search), it is recommended to use a significantly larger database.

Analyzed PEAKS Projects

Database Search and De Novo Protein Identification Results
  • This project contains a variety of different result files, neatly packaged in one project. De novo sequencing, PEAKS DB (database search identification), PTM Finder results, inChorus multi-engine protein ID (PEAKS ID, X!Tandem, OMSSA and an inChorus report) and a hidden result only found using our homology search tool SPIDER.
